PBMares LLP is seeking an experienced Assurance Supervisor to join our growing assurance team in Newport News, VA. This role leads planning and execution of multiple engagements, builds client relationships, mentors staff, and ensures quality and efficiency in GAAS, GAAP, and risk assessment.

You will coach teams, manage budgets and timelines, leverage technology and data analytics, and identify opportunities to improve processes while delivering high-quality client service in a hybrid work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• CPA credential/licensure, with intent to complete within firm timeframe.
• Strong knowledge of GAAS, GAAP, and SAS.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements, priorities, and deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Lead day-to-day planning and execution of assurance engagements.
• Establish timelines, deliverables, responsibilities, and quality expectations.
• Design audit approaches based on risks and assess internal controls.
• Review workpapers for accuracy and documentation.
• Review financial statements and engagement reports.
• Research and resolve complex accounting matters using professional judgment.
• Manage multiple engagements with high quality and client service.
