Job summary

Post University is seeking an Associate Program Chair of Writing Across the Curriculum to provide academic leadership and coordination for the WAC initiative within the School of Arts & Sciences. The role partners with the Dean, program chairs, faculty, and instructional design to integrate effective writing instruction across the undergraduate curriculum.

Qualifications

• Terminal degree in English, Writing, Rhetoric and Composition, or related discipline with minimum five years in higher education.
• Experience teaching writing across multiple disciplines or coordinating Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) initiatives strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated collaboration with faculty, administrators, and instructional design teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee scheduling, staffing, and delivery of writing courses within the School of Arts and Sciences.
• Provide academic leadership and coordination for the Writing Across the Curriculum initiative.
• Collaborate with Deans, program chairs, faculty, and leadership to advance WAC goals.
• Support faculty in designing writing assignments and learning activities across disciplines.
• Promote evidence-based approaches to writing instruction, feedback, and assessment.
• Help develop writing-intensive courses and alignment with program outcomes.
