Orion Placement is seeking an attorney in Akron, OH to manage a caseload in collections and subrogation, handling filings through judgment. The role offers leadership of a four-person team and a hybrid schedule with both office days and remote work.

Active Ohio bar admission required; prior civil litigation or related experience is a plus. The firm values initiative and provides growth opportunities in commercial litigation.

Qualifications

• JD degree and active Ohio bar license.
• Interest in litigation and creditor's rights.
• Prior civil litigation or subrogation experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational, communication, and case management skills.
• Willingness to lead a team and own client matters.
• Federal court admission is a plus.
• Ability to work in Akron office at least three days per week.

Responsibilities

• Manage own caseload of collections and subrogation from filing through judgment.
• Represent clients in state and federal courts as admitted.
• Supervise and mentor a team of four staff.
• Handle litigation prep, filings, hearings, negotiations.
• Build strong client relationships with practical, results-driven solutions.
• Gain exposure to commercial and corporate litigation based on interests.
• Help grow the practice while developing courtroom and leadership skills.
