Job summary

Confidential Employer in Akron, OH is seeking a licensed attorney to manage a caseload of collections and subrogation matters from filing through judgment and recovery. You will supervise a team of four collections and paralegal professionals, represent clients in state and federal courts, and handle litigation preparation, filings, hearings, and negotiations.

You will build strong client relationships and contribute to expanding our practice.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active Ohio bar license.
• Interest in litigation, collections, creditor's rights, or subrogation.
• Prior civil litigation or commercial litigation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload of collections and subrogation matters from filing through judgment and recovery.
• Represent clients in Ohio state courts and federal court proceedings, as authorized by your court admissions.
• Supervise, mentor, and collaborate with a team of four collections and paralegal professionals.
• Handle litigation preparation, court filings, hearings, negotiations, and settlement discussions.
• Build strong client relationships while delivering practical, results-driven legal solutions.
• Gain exposure to commercial and corporate litigation matters based on your experience and interests.
• Help strengthen and grow an established practice while developing your courtroom and leadership skills.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Location

Akron, OH – Hybrid. Enjoy the flexibility of working remotely up to two days per week, with a minimum of three days in the office.

Note

Active Ohio bar admission is required. We welcome newly licensed attorneys and experienced litigators alike. Prior collections, subrogation, or litigation experience is preferred but not required.
