Oakwood Village seeks an Assisted Living Shift Coordinator to lead Resident Assistant staff, coordinate medical and emergency support, and ensure care alignment with care plans. The role concentrates on promoting wellness, independence, and resident safety within our campus.

The coordinator supervises staff, audits medication administration, maintains charts, and liaises with the AL Director, nurses, and families to ensure seamless operations and quality resident care.

• Compassionate and attentive to residents and families.
• Knowledge of best practices in geriatric care.
• Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize workload.
• Builds and maintains teamwork with supervisory staff.
• Delivers clear work direction and training to Resident Assistants.
• Maintains confidentiality of resident and staff information.
• Exhibits independent judgment and sound decision making.
• Knowledge of DHS 83 and DHS 89 codes.

Responsabilités

• Responds to changes in residents’ conditions and coordinates care with the AL team.
• Oversees Resident Assistants and promotes teamwork.
• Audits medication carts and manages pharmacy reorders.
• Ensures proper medication administration and incident reporting.
• Maintains resident charts and records with accuracy.
• Supports ADLs to promote resident independence.
• Reports incidents and coordinates with nursing staff for follow-up.
• Participates in staff development and training.
• Ensures staff are oriented to care plans and ISP requirements.
• Supports smooth admissions transitions and family communication.
• Encourages staff growth and optimal performance.
