Job summary

AUTOKINITON is seeking an experienced Engineering professional to join our team in Michigan. This full-time role focuses on leading assembly equipment operations, maintaining tooling, and coordinating launches and startups across the engineering function.

Candidates should have 6+ years of hands-on manufacturing experience, strong knowledge of metal joining processes, and proficiency in CAD tools. Equal opportunity employer ready to support growth and development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum six (6) years hands-on manufacturing experience.
• Experience in metal joining processes (MIG welding, resistance projection welding, clinch fasteners, stamping).

Responsibilities

• Lead assembly process meetings and maintain tooling timing charts.
• Manage in-production tooling and coordinate corrective actions.
• Monitor tool uptime/downtime and prioritize tasks.
• Support customer and internal meetings and project reviews.
• Interface with internal departments on equipment/tool status.
• Lead launch and production startup activities and coordinate materials.
• Manage tooling designs, fabrication, and launch support.
• Maintain logs for open issues and lessons learned.
• Manage tool engineering changes and APQP procedures.
