Job summary

Advanced Exhaust Solutions seeks an Assembly Lead to oversee day-to-day assembly operations while ensuring safety, quality, and production goals. You will lead the assembly team, coordinate with supervision, and drive improvements in workflow and efficiency.

You will mentor team members, review schedules, and ensure compliance with AES standards and customer specifications at Lakeville and Northfield, MN locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school preferred.
• 3+ years manufacturing/assembly experience; lead/senior role preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and work instructions; strong mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Basic computer skills with MS Office and production reporting.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily assembly activities to meet production schedules and quality standards.
• Train, coach, and mentor assembly team members on processes and safety.
• Review work orders and production schedules to plan and assign work.
• Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and compliance with specs.
• Communicate production issues to the Production Supervisor in a timely manner.
• Ensure tools, fixtures, and materials are available and maintained.
• Promote AES safety standards and proper PPE usage.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to assembly efficiency.
• Assist with timekeeping, attendance tracking, and reporting production data.
• Maintain a clean, organized 5S-compliant work area.
• Perform assembly work as needed to meet production demands.
