Job summary

QXO is seeking an Assembly Lead to supervise daily production, read blueprints, measure and assemble components, and verify alignment and labeling. You will guide and coach teammates at the workstation to meet daily goals, promote teamwork, and uphold safety on the production floor.

Ideal candidates have manufacturing or assembly experience, leadership or training background, and comfort with hand tools. Must be able to stand long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, work in variable temperatures, and

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or assembly instructions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure accurately
• Ability to follow instructions and standardized processes
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools
• Experience in manufacturing, assembly, or production environments
• Prior experience leading or training team members
• Familiarity with building materials or similar products
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Ability to lift and move materials (up to 50 lbs)
• Comfortable with noise, dust, and equipment in manufacturing environments
• Comfortable with varying temperatures and conditions
• Comfortable with exposure to machinery and production equipment
• Ability to work extended hours based on production needs

Responsibilities

• Lead the assembly of materials and components based on work orders, drawings, and specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings to ensure accurate assembly
• Measure, position, and secure materials using hand tools and equipment
• Ensure components are aligned, fastened, and completed to quality standards
• Mark, label, and verify finished products for accuracy and tracking
• Lead and support team members at the workstation to meet daily production goals
• Provide guidance, training, and coaching to improve team performance
• Promote teamwork, communication, and accountability on the production floor
• Inspect work throughout the assembly process to ensure compliance with specifications
• Identify and correct errors or inconsistencies in materials or assembly
• Maintain attention to detail to ensure high-quality output
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow and enforce all safety policies and procedures; ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and PPE
• Identify and report safety concerns or hazards
• Coordinate workflow at the assembly table to maximize efficiency
• Support continuous improvement efforts in production processes
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
