Job summary

Axiom Staffing Group is recruiting for a Lead Assembler in York, PA, for a high-volume metal fabrication facility. This 1st shift role runs 5:30am-3:30pm, Monday-Thursday with optional Friday overtime from 5:30am-10:30am.

Ideal candidates have blueprint familiarity, the ability to hold tight tolerances, and basic mechanical troubleshooting. Strong leadership and teamwork are essential to oversee parts and assist the Co-Op Program participants.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with blueprints and able to hold parts to close tolerances.
• Troubleshoot and perform basic mechanical maintenance.
• Experience with fabrication hand tools: angle grinders, squares, calipers.
• Strong attention to detail and quality; good problem-solving.
• Leadership qualities: communicate with the team and Plant Manager; support co-op students.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily assembly tasks on the York production line.
• Ensure parts meet quality and tolerance standards.
• Coordinate with fabricators and team members to maintain productivity.
• Mentor and assist participants in the Co-Op Program.

Axiom is recruiting for a position in York for a Lead Assembler. We are a high-volume metal fabrication facility with openings for multi-skilled individuals with prior experience. Positions are 1st shift, 5:30am-3:30pm, Monday through Thursday, with Friday OT (if needed) from 5:30am-10:30am.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Familiarity with blueprintsAbility to select proper tooling and hold parts to within close tolerances.
• Troubleshoot and perform basic mechanical maintenance.
• Familiarity using essential fabrication hand tools (angle grinders, squares, scales, calipers)Detail orientedGood problem-solving skills and attention to quality.
• Leadership Qualities: Being able to communicate with the team and Plant ManagerFilter questions and issues within the teamWorking with the students in our Co-Op ProgramChecking on parts/jobs to make sure they are done with accuracy

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Prior experience is a plus.
• Work in cooperation with other fabricators and team members.
• Measurement, mathematical and conversion skills.
• Ability to work overtime when needed.
