Job summary

Leonardo DRS, Inc. in the Naval Power Systems unit seeks an experienced assembler to support advanced production of naval power components. You will interpret blueprints, perform assembly, soldering, and testing from models and drawings, under LEAN and SPC practices.

This role emphasizes teamwork, mentorship of lower-level specialists, adherence to safety and quality standards, and collaboration with Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Quality to meet schedule and budget goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 8+ years in a specialty area.

Responsibilities

• May serve as team lead for lower-level specialists responsible for producing quality work.
• Work under minimal supervision on duties requiring advanced skills and adaptation of procedures to meet needs.
• Interpret blueprints, Process Flow Instructions and other written or verbal instructions.
• Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to safety procedures (WHMIS).
• Participate in LEAN Events and Six Sigma activities.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality and Sales.
