Job summary

Regal Rexnord's Thomson Power Systems in Arlington, Texas, is hiring a Lead Assembler to lead a production team, train and coach colleagues, and participate in hands-on assembly.

You will promote safety, quality, and Lean improvements while ensuring adherence to standard work; the role blends mentoring with direct involvement in daily operations.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing or assembly experience.
  • Experience reading drawings and work instructions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to train and coach others.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Lead as day-to-day leader for a production team, supporting Assemblers and related roles.
  • Provide onboarding and training of new employees; reinforce standard work and procedures.
  • Promote safety, quality, and timely delivery; monitor progress toward goals.
  • Coach and mentor team members; develop technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Support Lean manufacturing and 5S; identify opportunities for process improvements.

Work Model:

This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.

We are seeking a Lead Assembler who can combine technical knowledge with a passion for developing people and supporting team success. This position serves as a hands-on working leader who helps train, coach, and support production team members while actively participating in assembly operations. The Lead Assembler plays a key role in maintaining safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement.

Position Overview As a Lead Assembler, you will act as the day-to-day leader for a production team, supporting Assemblers, Mechanical Assemblers, and Wiring Assemblers. You will help ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards while serving as a coach, mentor, and technical resource for team members. This role is ideal for an experienced manufacturing professional who enjoys teaching others, solving problems, and leading through action.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership & Coaching
    • Serve as the primary hands-on coach for production team members
    • Support onboarding and training of new employees
    • Reinforce standard work practices and operating procedures
    • Provide real-time feedback and coaching to improve performance
    • Assist team members in developing technical and problem-solving skills
    • Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment
  • Production Support
    • Support daily production schedules and priorities
    • Assist with work assignments and workload balancing
    • Remove obstacles that impact team performance
    • Monitor progress toward safety, quality, and delivery goals
    • Lead by example through active participation in assembly activities
  • Safety & Quality
    • Promote a culture of safety first
    • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and work instructions
    • Verify quality requirements are consistently followed
    • Support root cause investigations and corrective actions
    • Reinforce workmanship standards throughout the team
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Support Lean Manufacturing and 5S activities
    • Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, and productivity
    • Assist with implementing process improvements
    • Support development and maintenance of standard work
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of manufacturing or assembly experience
  • Experience reading drawings and work instructions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to train and coach others
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous Lead, Trainer, or Team Lead experience
  • Experience in electrical equipment or industrial manufacturing
  • Lean Manufacturing experience
  • Forklift certification
Shift:

Varies Mon-Thu/Tue-Fri 5:45-4:15PM

Pay:

$29/hr.
