Job summary

The role involves planning, coordinating field work, milling activities, and coordinating with inspectors, drivers, and plant personnel to maintain smooth site operations and adherence to the Safety Manual and company policies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in asphalt paving or road construction.
• Strong leadership and safety-management skills.
• Ability to read plans and specifications.
• Excellent communication with field crews and management.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and supervises all onsite functions, including scheduling and material control.
• Coordinates milling of asphalt surfaces on highways, streets, and parking lots.
• Oversees operation of milling equipment and ensures proper use.
• Maintains communication with the shop concerning equipment maintenance and repair.
• Reviews construction schedules to meet milestones and completion dates.
• Reads and executes plans and specifications (rates, grades, slope, drainage).
• Calculates material requirements and related costs for efficient use.
• Monitors asphalt, concrete and subgrade for quality issues and applies corrections.
• Documents labor, haul, equipment, production and cost information.
• Ensures safety compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Trains new and existing employees in safe, productive work practices.
• Leads by example and communicates effectively with team and management.
• Performs other duties as required.
