Job summary

Idaho Materials & Construction, a CRH Company, is seeking a Paving Foreperson for IMC Pocatello, ID. You will oversee asphalt paving crews, enforce safety, and coordinate daily operations at multiple job sites.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years of paving experience, strong leadership, and the ability to read plans. A CDL is preferred. Regular travel to job sites may be required and a CDL helps with responsibilities and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5–10 years of asphalt paving experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, EPA rules and procedures.
• Ability to supervise and lead crew members.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and grades.
• Must have valid driver's license; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be the site safety champion and enforce company policies with crew and subcontractors.
• Coordinates daily work activities, sets production targets, and organizes the job site.
• Communicates with customers, inspectors, coworkers, and the public in a positive manner.
• Supervises and schedules work crews.
• Coordinates quality control testing as required.
• Organizes job site goals, timelines, and budgets.
• Orders supplies and asphalt materials and coordinates with grade crews and traffic control.
• Perform field measurements and monitor job quantities & calculate yield.
• Drive to various job site locations.
• Assists with general laborer duties and may assist with equipment operation as needed.
