Job summary

Texas Materials, A CRH company, is seeking an experienced Asphalt Paving Foreman to supervise crews in spreading, rolling, tamping, and patching asphalt on highways, streets, and lots. You will ensure safety and train new crew members while coordinating schedules and materials for multiple projects.

Applicant must have 3+ years asphalt/paving experience, strong supervisory and math skills, and the ability to operate paving equipment. Willingness to work days, nights, and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 3+ years asphalt/paving experience or equivalent
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos
• Proficient math skills for rate, ratio, percent and measurement interpretation
• Ability to type and use keyboards; familiarity with database software
• Ability to operate paving equipment safely and efficiently
• Willingness to work days, nights, and weekends as needed
• Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills; effective communication

Responsibilities

• Supervise 15 to 20 asphalt paving crew members.
• Ensure safety standards and promote a safe work environment.
• Train new crew members and manage on-site safety.
• Plan crew workloads and determine trucks needed for material haulage.
• Monitor job progress, quality, and adherence to schedules.
• Maintain time and material records for daily costing.
• Coordinate activities across multiple projects.
