Job summary

Top Gun Staffing Inc is seeking an Asphalt Paving Foreman for Metro Atlanta, GA to lead active DOT and heavy civil paving projects. You will direct crews, coordinate equipment and haul logistics, and drive daily production to meet strict mix, compaction, grade, and smoothness specs.

This role requires GA DOT experience, strong safety leadership, and hands-on supervision of paving crews on roadway projects. Expect field-based, outdoor work with long‑term growth opportunities in a stable

Qualifications

• 5+ years of asphalt paving or heavy highway construction experience.
• Minimum 2+ years in an Asphalt Paving Foreman or field leadership role.
• Strong hands-on experience leading asphalt paving operations on roadway projects.
• Deep knowledge of paving equipment including pavers, screeds, rollers.
• DOT experience required; Georgia DOT experience strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to manage crews, truck flow, and production pressure in real time.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and consistent field execution.

Responsibilities

• Direct paving crews and manage daily field production, including crew assignments and output targets.
• Lead asphalt laydown operations including base, binder, and surface courses on highway projects.
• Coordinate hauling, materials, and manpower to maintain production and prevent cold joints.
• Monitor mix delivery, mat temperatures, laydown rates, lift thickness, and compaction.
• Read plans and specs to execute work accurately in the field.
• Enforce safety standards, conduct safety meetings, and manage lane closures or night paving.
• Coordinate with the Superintendent on schedules, sequencing, and production goals.
• Track daily production, material yields, and project progress for reporting.
