Adelphi Medical Staffing is seeking a per diem Lead American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter to oversee and provide professional sign language interpretation at conferences and events across Tennessee, based in Knoxville.

The ideal candidate coordinates interpreter schedules, supervises coverage, and provides real-time ASL interpretation in line with university requirements, ensuring accessibility and uninterrupted conference services.

Qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in ASL interpreting preferred.
• Professional ASL interpreter certification (RID) preferred.
• Experience providing ASL interpretation at conferences, educational institutions, or professional events required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate ASL interpretation services throughout assigned conferences and events.
• Confirm interpreter attendance and ensure adequate interpretation coverage for all sessions.
• Develop, manage, and adjust interpreter schedules, assignments, and breaks to maintain continuous service delivery.
• Address staffing concerns, absences, scheduling conflicts, and last-minute changes.
• Serve as liaison between interpreters and UT CLEE Event Team.
