Job summary

State of South Carolina's Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (LLR) is seeking a Lead Instructor for the South Carolina Fire Academy. The position emphasizes teaching Industrial and Aircraft Rescue Firefighting (ARFF) and supporting Haz-Mat, Municipal, and Rescue programs, while handling registration, billing and contract prep.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Three years instructional experience preferred.
• Ability to teach, develop and market academy training programs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Lead Instructor for the South Carolina Fire Academy.
• Teach Industrial and Aircraft Rescue Firefighting (ARFF) and assist with Haz-Mat, Municipal, and Rescue programs.
• Market, plan, coordinate programs, register students, bill and prepare customer contracts, and submit student payments.
• Assist with setup of fire equipment and props; participate in site emergency team and Incident Support Team deployments.
