Job summary

Teradata is seeking a senior data platform architect to own the Agentic Database data plane, including Postgres internals and storage design. You will lead the technical PoC, select workloads, run benchmarks, and present findings to validate architecture.

You will mentor engineers, review designs, and coordinate with Teradata Fabric, Context Engine, and AgentStack teams to ensure scalable, production-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• Deep PostgreSQL expertise, including MVCC, WAL, storage and extension API.
• Experience reading large C codebases and patch evaluation.
• Systems programming in C/C++ for data plane; Go/Python/Ruby for tooling.
• Understanding of storage engine trade-offs and OLTP patterns.
• BS/MS in CS or related field with production experience.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end data plane architecture for the Agentic Database.
• Own the technical PoC design, testing, and findings with real workloads.
• Review designs; mentor engineers on database internals and distributed systems.
• Design integration with Teradata Fabric, Context Engine, and AgentStack.
• Document trade-offs and drive architecture across teams.
