Job summary

ACM LLP is seeking an Archaeologist to support the Section 106 component of environmental reviews for HUD CDBG-DR/CDBG-MIT funding in Puerto Rico. The role collaborates with team members across projects and ensures timely, compliant delivery of client goals.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) with at least five years of relevant experience, Spanish language ability, and strong knowledge of Puerto Rico history and preservation laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred under PQS for Archaeology.
• SOI-qualified Master’s is preferred by the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards.
• Experience in archaeology and environmental reviews is required.

Responsibilities

• Support Section 106 compliance in NEPA reviews for HUD CDBG-DR/CDBG-MIT projects.
• Collaborate with team across multiple projects to meet client goals.
• Review Section 106 documentation and coordinating with SHPO in Puerto Rico.
• Supervise on-site activities and ensure quality of architectural records and surveys.
• Prepare SHPO consultation documents and respond to information requests.
• Communicate project status, risks, and resolutions to stakeholders.
• Identify process improvements and maintain internal controls.
