Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a mid- to senior-level Archaeologist/Cultural Resources Specialist to act as Principal Investigator in the Northeast U.S. cultural resources team.

You will supervise junior staff and field crews, manage client‑specific programs, and review QA for cultural resources work across federal and state levels. The role requires NY/NJ experience, strong technical writing, and the ability to travel up to 40%.

Qualifications

• Meets the Secretary of the Interior’s Professional Qualifications Standards in archaeology.
• Master’s degree in archaeology or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in cultural resources management, with field and office experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as PI in the Northeast U.S. cultural resources team and oversee junior staff and field crews.
• Provide supervision, training, and mentoring to junior staff.
• Lead field assessments and manage archaeological field crews and subcontractors.
