Job summary

City of Plymouth seeks an aquatic program supervisor to greet patrons, supervise on‑deck staff, and guide swim lesson instructors and lifeguards. You will open/close the facility, complete records, and manage reservations for specialty groups and evening/weekend programs.

The role requires supervising staff, providing training, and ensuring safe, high‑quality aquatic services in collaboration with the Recreation Department. Weekend availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be available weekday evenings and daytime weekend hours.
• Must have supervisory experience with strong leadership qualities.
• Must be an experienced lifeguard.
• Must have current American Red Cross Lifeguard certification.
• Must have demonstrated skill and proficiency with technology skills and computer experience (e.g., Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite, Recreation software).
• Must be an experienced swim instructor.

Responsibilities

• Greet and supervise patrons on deck.
• Provide guidance and feedback for swim lesson instructors and staff.
• Open and close the facility; complete records and reports.
• Make reservations for specialty groups; supervise evening and weekend swim programs.
• Provide staff training and supervise pool operations.
