Job summary

SentiLink builds fraud detection and identity verification models used across the US financial system. As an Applied ML Manager, you own a core area end to end and lead a team of four scientists, growing to six by 2026, coaching and contributing hands-on as needed.

Data science drives product decisions here, and you will partner with leaders across Product, Engineering, and Risk to deliver impactful ML solutions, researching new fraud patterns and expanding AI capabilities within governance

Qualifications

• 6+ years in industry applying ML or statistics to real problems.
• 3+ years directly managing ML/data science teams.
• Experience in fraud/identity/fintech or risk domains.
• Production ML experience and production-grade Python code/tests.
• Strong practical ML and applied statistics skills.
• Ability to scope solutions quickly with standard tooling.
• Comfort with end-to-end delivery and AI safety/data governance.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage a team of applied ML scientists, 4 today and growing to 6 by 2026.
• Own execution for your area: priorities, delivery, and results.
• Coach and mentor team members, review code, stay hands-on when needed.
• Partner with senior leadership, Product, Engineering, and Risk to prioritize work.
• Communicate progress and tradeoffs clearly; represent domain in strategy.
• Develop and improve fraud/identity models across full lifecycle.
• Research emerging fraud patterns and design analyses to inform decisions.
• Use AI across team work and push responsible AI within products.
