Job summary

SentiLink Corp is seeking an Applied ML Manager in the United States to lead a team of ML scientists from 4 today to 6 by the end of 2026. You will own an end‑to‑end ML area, coach engineers, review code, and contribute hands‑on where it matters most.

Data science drives product decisions, with growth into strategic leadership in product and ML domains. We deploy Python-based models, leverage modern ML tools, and balance speed with AI safety and data governance.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of industry experience applying machine learning or statistics to real‑world problems, including 3+ years directly managing ML/data science teams.
• Experience leading ML/data science teams in fraud, identity, fintech, banking, financial services, payments, or risk domains.
• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in CS, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or related field.
• Demonstrated success deploying production ML models and writing production-quality Python code and tests.
• Strong practical ML and applied statistics knowledge with ability to scope solutions quickly.
• Comfortable end-to-end ownership: planning, success criteria, buy-in, delivery in production or strategy.
• Familiar with modern LLMs and AI-driven development; governance and data security.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills; reliable for high-stakes decisions.
• Authorized to work in the United States and reside in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage a team of applied ML scientists (4 today, growing to 6 by end of 2026).
• Own execution for your area: priorities, delivery, and outcomes.
• Mentor team members through model development, experimentation, and technical decisions; stay hands-on for code reviews.
• Partner with senior leadership, Product, Engineering, and Risk to prioritize work and deliver ML solutions with impact.
• Communicate progress and tradeoffs clearly; participate in product strategy discussions.
• Develop and improve fraud detection and identity models across data lifecycle.
• Research new fraud patterns and design analyses to inform product and business decisions.
• Apply AI across the team's work and advance AI-enabled product contributions.
