Job summary

Deloitte is seeking an Associate Director, Applied AI Engineering, to set the engineering vision for its enterprise AI offerings. You will lead across teams, stay hands-on in design and code, and shape architecture, standards, and reference architectures for GenAI and agentic capabilities across products.

You will mentor engineers, drive KPI and NFR outcomes, and align technical solutions with business strategy while managing cost and risk in a fast‑moving, enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, machine learning, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of full‑stack software engineering experience with modern tech stacks.
• 7+ years architecting enterprise solutions on cloud-native engineering and API platforms.
• 5+ years building AI/ML and agentic applications with GenAI experience.
• 2+ years establishing engineering standards and mentoring engineers.
• Experience with XP/Lean, DevSecOps, SRE, and FinOps for cost awareness.

Responsibilities

• Define the engineering vision and map business capabilities to the technology landscape.
• Lead across product groups while staying hands-on in design, architecture, and code.
• Develop reference architectures, standards, and AI/GenAI SSDLC practices.
• Mentor engineers and emerging leaders to elevate engineering practices.
• Drive iterative value delivery and KPI/NFR achievement across programs.
• Collaborate with executives and stakeholders to drive outcomes and strategy.
