Job summary

Deloitte US Technology Product Engineering seeks Associate Director, Applied AI Engineering to set the vision and technical direction for enterprise AI capabilities, aligning GenAI with business strategy and delivering value across product lines.

You will lead across teams, stay hands-on with design and code, mentor engineers, establish reference architectures, and drive scalable, secure deployments of AI/ML solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE/Data Science/ML or related field.
• 10+ years full-stack software engineering experience with modern tech stacks and cloud-native engineering.
• 5+ years building AI/ML and agentic applications with GenAI experience.
• 2+ years establishing engineering standards and mentoring team members.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Define and articulate a vision for Applied AI engineering aligned with business strategy.
• Lead architecture, design, and code contributions across SSDLC and engineering teams.
• Mentor engineers, grow leaders, and drive adoption of best practices and standards.
• Ensure scalable, secure, and cost-aware AI solutions and reference architectures.
