Job summary

Plasma-Therm LLC is seeking a technical leader to manage the Process Engineering group within the Technical Management area. You will supervise staff, control budgets and drive development projects for advanced plasma processing in semiconductor manufacturing.

The role requires deep expertise in cleanroom protocols and SEM/Nanospec tools, with at least five years in the field and two years in leadership. Travel to customer sites and trade shows may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Sciences, Physics or Chemistry; Ph.D. is preferred.
• Five+ years of experience with advanced semiconductor plasma processing with emphasis on cleanroom protocol and Semi standards.
• Two+ years of management or leadership experience required.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, major credit card for travel, and passport.
• Ability to travel as needed for trade shows, symposia, or customer requests.

Responsibilities

• Oversee process engineering group with hiring, training, performance appraisal and discipline.
• Budget responsibility for process engineering department, cost centers and development projects.
• Manage lab activities to meet objectives for new process development.
• Input for process-related marketing collateral, technical notes, presentations.
• Provide internal training and oversee lab assets procurement and maintenance.
• Manage lab equipment support personnel and patent/publication generation.
