Job summary

DuPont is seeking an Application Development Engineer to serve as the technical lead for customer and application solution development. The role requires balancing end-use knowledge with strong engineering leadership across injection molding, extrusion, and advanced assembly processes.

You will partner with Commercial, Quoting, RPE, and Technology teams to drive opportunities to successful quotes and conversion.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline (Advanced degree preferred).
10+ years of experience in application development, product development, process engineering, technical sales, or customer-facing engineering roles.
Experience in medical device CDMO, polymer manufacturing, injection molding, extrusion, or advanced assembly processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end customer application and solution development from opportunity identification through quote submission and handoff.
Serve as the primary technical contact for customers during solution development discussions.
Translate customer, clinical, and application requirements into feasible technical solutions.
Guide cross-functional teams to develop differentiated solutions that meet customer needs and business objectives.
Lead the development of advanced quotes for complex customer opportunities and define scope, requirements, and feasibility.
