Job summary

DuPont™ Spectrum™ is seeking an Application Development Engineer to serve as the technical lead for customer and application solution development, bridging customer needs with internal capabilities to deliver innovative, scalable, and commercially viable solutions.

This role requires ownership of end-to-end solution design, direct customer engagement, and collaboration with Commercial, Quoting, RPE, and Technology teams to qualify opportunities and drive successful quotes and project handoffs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience leading complex technical solution development and customer engagements is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end customer application and solution development activities from opportunity identification through quote submission and project handoff.
• Serve as the primary technical contact for customers during solution development discussions.
• Translate customer, clinical, and application requirements into feasible technical solutions.
• Guide cross-functional teams to develop differentiated solutions that meet customer needs and business objectives.
• Build strong technical relationships with customers and act as a trusted advisor.
• Understand customer workflows, clinical requirements, manufacturing challenges, and business objectives.
• Support the Commercial team in qualifying opportunities through technical assessment and solution feasibility reviews.
• Conduct technical discussions, presentations, and solution workshops with customers.
• Lead the development of advanced quotes for complex customer opportunities.
• Define solution scope, technical requirements, assumptions, and feasibility assessments.
• Collaborate with Quoting, RPE, and Technology teams to ensure accurate and competitive proposals.
