Job description

Zurich (Schaumburg, IL) seeks a Lead Application Developer

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining web-based applications, serving as a technical expert in software design, coding, testing, and debugging of new or existing applications.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Preparing operating procedures and best practices;
2. Acting as a liaison between the Business and other developers to understand needs and provide technical guidance;
3. Gathering requirements with business owners;
4. Leading analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of applications;
5. Supporting development, training, and production support activities;
6. Applying delivery approaches and independently performing business analysis in line with Zurich's project management framework and risk policies.

Position details:

• Option for remote work within the U.S.;
• Full-time role;
• Salary range: approximately $148,949, influenced by experience and location.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field;
• 7 years of experience in software development or related roles;
• 6+ years in JAVA-J2EE and .NET applications;
• Experience with Java, React, Node.js, Python, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax, Shell scripting, SQL, PL/SQL;
• Knowledge of frameworks like Spring Boot, Hibernate, Struts, and .NET;
• Experience with APIs, Microservices, SOA, Web Services (SOAP, REST);
• Cloud technologies including Azure, AWS, MuleSoft;
• Data analysis tools, IDEs, build tools, version control systems, UML and ER Diagrams.
