This position reports to:
Head of Startup and Warranty

Key Responsibilities

• Lead pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for assigned variable frequency drive system projects for End Users, EPCs, and Project OEM Customers.
• Lead site commissioning activities and/or execute commissioning on all ABB-supplied equipment, including third-party supplied equipment such as ABB low and medium voltage VFDs, induction and synchronous motors, motor excitation control panels (MCP), multi-pulse VFD transformers, coolers, switchgear, synchronous bypass units (SBU), MCCs, E-houses, safe line systems, snubbers, lubrication skids, distribution transformers, and PLCs.
• Collaborate with our service team to support customer needs during the warranty phase, hand over service responsibilities at the end of the warranty, and support our internal commissioning quotation process covering technical and commercial aspects of proposals.
• Execute performance testing to fulfill contractual obligations and finalize all commissioning documentation, including correcting redlined drawings and transferring finalized documentation and notices to involved parties.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical Technology or equivalent.
• 5+ years' experience in related areas such as Project Engineering, Technical Support, Application Engineering, Test Engineering, Field Service, or Commissioning.
• Strong technical knowledge of medium voltage variable speed drive system equipment and applications. Commercial acumen.
• Willingness to travel (60% or more).
