Job summary

Huntington National Bank is seeking an Automation QA Lead to define, build, and advance the test automation strategy for the API Gateway platform. The role combines hands-on automation engineering with quality leadership to ensure reliability, scalability, security, and performance of enterprise API services.

You will design modern automation frameworks, develop reusable automated test suites, and integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines, while supporting day-to-day testing activities across

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of software quality assurance, automation engineering, or quality engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience designing automated test frameworks.
• Experience testing REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Postman, Karate, Rest Assured, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent.
• Experience developing automation using Java, JavaScript, Python, JSON, or C#.
• Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the test automation vision and roadmap for the API Gateway platform.
• Develop and maintain reusable automation frameworks and test harnesses for enterprise API services.
• Build automated API validation suites covering functionality, security, performance, resiliency, and compliance requirements.
• Integrate automated testing into Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead testing efforts for API Gateway platform enhancements, upgrades, and new capabilities.
