Job summary

Living Well Homes is seeking an experienced Lead Maintenance Technician for one of our properties in Indiana. A Lead Maintenance Technician ensures the facility remains in operating form with tasks varying day-to-day, including work orders, repairs, aesthetic work, or tending to machinery.

You will oversee routine maintenance, handle plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and safety measures, and ensure quality and resident satisfaction on-site.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of residential property maintenance experience.
• Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs or other drainage problems.
• Electrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with the building's electricity.
• Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building.
• Grounds keeping if the facility contains lawns or other outdoor areas in need of maintenance.
• Interpersonal skills to interact with employees or residents in a pleasant manner.
• Attention to detail to ensure all jobs are completed and hazards are not overlooked.
• Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, e.g., window, door or wall repair.
• Repair plumbing leaks to avoid water damage and restore water fixtures.
• Address electrical wiring issues when a shortage occurs.
• Maintain HVAC equipment to keep climate control functioning properly.
• Apply preventative measures to reduce future problems, such as roof sealing.
• Address safety hazards to avoid injuries.
• Paint the building when paint is faded or chipped.
