Job summary

Living Well Homes is seeking an experienced apartment Maintenance Technician for an Indiana property. A Maintenance Technician ensures the facility remains in operating form with day-to-day tasks, including work orders and repairs, aesthetic work, or tending to machinery.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of residential property maintenance experience.
• Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs or other drainage problems.
• Electrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with the building's electricity.
• Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building.
• Grounds keeping if the facility contains lawns or other outdoor areas in need of maintenance.
• Interpersonal skills to interact with employees or residents in a pleasant manner.
• Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed safely and thoroughly.
• Physical stamina to handle a full shift of activity.

Responsibilities

• Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage (windows, doors, walls).
• Repairing plumbing to avoid water damage and restore fixtures.
• Working on damaged electrical wiring when needed.
• Maintaining HVAC equipment to keep climate control functioning.
• Applying preventative measures to reduce future problems.
• Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.
• Painting the building when needed.
