Job summary

Bender Companies is seeking an experienced Apartment Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team at our Minneapolis community. This on-site role requires hands-on leadership, strong maintenance skills, and a focus on resident satisfaction and asset performance.

You will manage service requests, unit turnovers, preventative maintenance, and coordinate with the Property Manager to keep the property safe, compliant, and well-maintained.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in residential maintenance with leadership
• Strong leadership and ability to motivate team
• Organized and solutions-oriented
• Excellent communication with residents, vendors, and staff
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry
• Familiarity with property management systems (Yardi, AppFolio)
• EPA certification or HVAC license a plus
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of property maintenance operations
• Manage service requests, unit turnovers, and preventative maintenance
• Maintain vendor relationships and daily workflow
• Work with Property Manager to meet goals and ensure compliance
• Perform routine property inspections and address issues
• Ensure safety standards and building codes compliance
• Order and manage maintenance supplies
• Maintain records of activities and inventory
• Deliver notices to residents as directed
• Participate in on-call schedule for after-hours emergencies
• Perform additional duties as assigned
