Job summary

Global Partners LP is seeking a reliable Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead a high-volume AP team in Newton, MA. You will standardize processes, oversee month-end close, and drive improvements across AP with collaboration from leadership across the organization.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or team leadership experience within AP, Accounting, or Finance.
• Strong working knowledge of AP, procurement and GL processes; PDI AP experience preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong decision-making, organizational, planning, time management, and multitasking skills.
• Detail-oriented with analytical, research and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Drive standardization and implement process improvements, efficiencies and automation across AP.
• Develop and maintain AP procedures, policies and process documentation.
• Manage and shift priorities of AP staff to meet deadlines and close.
• Provide escalation follow-through and resolve issues with fuel and freight invoices.
• Oversee month-end close of AP sub-ledgers and GL reconciliations with accuracy.
• Assist in troubleshooting AP issues affecting the close process.
