Job summary

Vanderbilt Health in Nashville seeks an experienced Anesthesia Technician/Technologist to coordinate anesthesia personnel, mentor staff, and support quality and equipment maintenance across the department. This full-time position provides exposure to a broad anesthesia team and patient care settings.

The role includes scheduling support, classifying proficiency, and partnering with the Anesthesia Technician Manager.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience).
• 2 years relevant experience as an Anesthesia Technician or Anesthesia Technologist.
• Certified Anesthesia Technician or Certified Anesthesia Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and coordinates the use of anesthesia personnel of assigned area.
• Insures that technical staff are responding in a timely fashion to all requests by the anesthesia care provider.
• May have primary responsibility for scheduling anesthesia staff in regards to daily schedule, time off, in-services, and any other educational activity.
• Assists educator in the evaluation of proficiency of technical staff by providing constructive feedback.
