Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a Lead Anesthesia Technician to coordinate anesthesia personnel and support the Anesthesia Department at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. The role includes mentoring staff, managing equipment maintenance, and assisting with staff education and performance reviews.

As a Cert. Anesthesia Technician or Technologist, you will play a hands-on role, with opportunities for advancement and a competitive signing bonus/relocation options.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience).
• 2 years relevant experience.
• Certified Anesthesia Technician or Certified Anesthesia Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and coordinates the use of anesthesia personnel of assigned area.
• Insures that technical staff are responding in a timely fashion to all requests by the anesthesia care provider.
• May have primary responsibility for scheduling anesthesia staff in regards to daily schedule, time off, in-services, and any other educational activity.
• Assists educator in the evaluation of proficiency of technical staff by providing constructive feedback.
