Job summary

The Vanderbilt Department of Anesthesiology is seeking an Anesthesia Technician/Technologist to coordinate work assignments and mentor technical staff. You will assist with equipment maintenance and participate in staff orientation, while supporting the anesthesia care team across surgical procedures.

Responsibilities include scheduling, quality feedback, and ensuring timely responses to requests by care providers. This role requires clinical awareness and teamwork in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience).
• 2 years relevant experience as an Anesthesia Technician or Anesthesia Technologist is required.
• Certified Anesthesia Technician or Certified Anesthesia Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and coordinates the use of anesthesia personnel of assigned area.
• Insures that technical staff are responding in a timely fashion to all requests by the anesthesia care provider.
• May have primary responsibility for scheduling anesthesia staff in regards to daily schedule, time off, in-services, and any other educational activity.
• Assists educator in the evaluation of proficiency of technical staff by providing constructive feedback.
