Job summary

Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford is seeking a Lead Anesthesia Technician to oversee daily activities, mentor staff, and ensure high quality anesthesia support services. You will coordinate scheduling with the Patient Care Manager, monitor performance, and contribute to staff evaluations.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and applicable CER.A.T./CER.A.T.T. certifications, with emphasis on leadership and quality improvement in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Three (3) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience -and- CER.A.T./CER.A.T.T. certification -or-
• Five (5) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience -and- CER.A.T. or CER.A.T.T. certification obtained within two (2) years of hire

Responsibilities

• Acts as a resource to staff, managers and physicians related to anesthesia support services.
• Assigns, organizes and coordinates the daily activities of the anesthesia technicians including assisting the Patient Care Manager with staff scheduling.
• Monitors anesthesia technician's job performance and coaches as needed to assure standards are being followed.
• Provides input related to staff performance to assist the Patient Care Manager in writing evaluations.
