Job summary

Located in Nashville, Vanderbilt University Medical Center seeks an Allied Health Anesthesia Tech to support the operating rooms by preparing equipment and supplies, assisting anesthesia providers, and tracking inventory. This PRN role requires 5:30a start with potential evening shifts (1:30p-10:00p) on occasion, contributing to safe, high-quality patient care.

You will calibrate monitoring equipment, assist in interventional areas as needed, and help maintain emergency carts and instrument

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; healthcare experience preferred.
• 6 months of patient care experience preferred.
• Allied health knowledge and documentation helpful.

Responsibilities

• Conducts FDA anesthesia machine check.
• Prepares general, MAC, or regional cases.
• Consults operating room schedule to determine equipment needs and prepares operating room with monitoring equipment.
• Assists anesthesia care providers in clinical settings outside the operating rooms as needed.
• Troubleshoots machines, monitors, and equipment related to Anesthesia.
• Assists during invasive line placement
• Maintains inventory of emergency carts - trauma and airway.
• Additional duties as assigned.
