Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a PRN Anesthesia Tech to support the Anesthesiology department in preparing operating rooms with equipment and supplies. You will assist anesthetists and anesthesiologists, and help manage inventory and carts to ensure smooth daily operations.

The role involves occasional guidance, with responsibilities expanding across various areas as needed. Prior patient care experience is preferred, and a high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 6 months of patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts FDA anesthesia machine checks and ensures equipment readiness.
• Prepares general, MAC, or regional cases and supports anesthesia providers.
• Assists in operating room setup, calibration, and monitoring equipment.
• Supports anesthesia care providers in other areas such as Cath Lab and radiology as needed.
• Troubleshoots anesthesia machines, monitors, and related equipment.
