Speechify, a remote-first company, is seeking a Team Lead to own core product work for its Android app and beyond. You'll write code, review PRs, and own features end-to-end—from decision through release—and ensure the team ships reliably.

Responsibilities

• Own major features end to end, from decision through to release, with design team collaboration and real delivery.
• Own, maintain, and improve reliability metrics for key features.
• Review pull requests and provide constructive feedback.
• Unblock the team when progress stalls and take a hands-on approach to problem solving.
• Ensure versions converge when multiple implementations exist and guide the team to the chosen approach.
• Keep shared components well-tested and maintainable, avoiding diverging implementations.
• Drive changes when the team is ready to alter workflows, not waiting for a mandated change.
• Reduce manual intervention to achieve correct releases.
• Address recurring problems by changing underlying setups to prevent repeats.
• Shift verification left by increasing automated checks.
