Job summary

EDCO Products, headquartered in Hopkins, Minnesota, is hiring a Lead and Sales Support Coordinator. This full-time clerical role supports the Sales team by handling inbound leads, qualifying prospects, documenting interactions in the CRM, and routing to the appropriate salesperson.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 months-2 years of experience in customer service, sales support, marketing support, inside sales, or related role.
  • Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn CRM and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and comfort talking with prospective customers by phone.
  • Friendly, professional, customer-focused communication style.
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead response, qualification, documentation, and routing to Sales following established processes.
  • Maintain CRM data with accurate information and timely follow-up on inbound leads.
  • Route qualified leads to Business Development Managers per routing guidelines.
  • Support Marketing Communications with data on lead sources and customer interests.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Manager to improve lead qualification processes.
  • Track lead activity metrics and report results to the Marketing Manager.

Lead and Sales Support Coordinator

Full Time Clerical Hopkins, MN, US

Salary Range: $24.50 To $30.00 Hourly

EDCO’s Lead and Sales Support Coordinator serves as an important connection point between prospective customers and EDCO’s Sales team. The position provides a positive and professional first interaction with inbound leads generated through Marketing activities, completes timely follow-up, uses an established qualification process to understand customer needs, accurately documents information in the CRM, and routes qualified contacts to the appropriate Sales team member.

The coordinator is responsible for lead response, qualification, documentation, and routing through the point of sales handoff. After the handoff, the assigned Sales team member owns opportunity development, estimating or quoting, and ongoing customer follow-up. Marketing Communications retains responsibility for lead-nurture strategy, campaign execution, and content development.

Lead Qualification and Management:
  • Respond to inbound leads from EDCO’s website, tradeshows, and other lead-generation activities
  • Contact prospective customers by phone and provide a friendly, professional, and helpful first interaction with EDCO
  • Follow an established qualification process to understand the prospect’s customer type, project needs, product interests, location, and readiness to engage with Sales
  • Answer basic questions about EDCO and its products using established resources and training
  • Accurately document conversations, customer information, and qualification details within EDCO’s CRM
  • Route qualified leads to the appropriate Business Development Manager according to established routing guidelines
  • Complete timely follow-up on inbound leads until qualification is complete or the lead is closed or routed; after handoff, the assigned Sales team member owns opportunity development and customer follow-up.
  • Share appropriate lead contact information with Marketing Communications to support ongoing email communications and future lead-nurture programs
  • Provide Marketing Communications with accurate lead-source, customer-interest, and frequently asked question data; Marketing Communications retains ownership of nurture strategy, campaign execution, and content development.
  • Work with the Marketing Managerto incorporate feedback, document process changes, and drive continuous improvement in consistency and quality of lead qualification
Sales and Marketing Support
  • Maintain assigned customer, project, and sales-support data systems, including accurate data entry within systems
  • Support CRM data maintenance and help identify incomplete, inaccurate, or inconsistent information
  • Assist with processing sales support requests, such as promotional merchandise and custom-cut sample requests as assigned
  • Coordinate assigned administrative sales-support requests and route requests requiring product recommendations, technical guidance, estimating, quoting, or active opportunity management to the appropriate Sales or technical resource.
  • Identify recurring questions, data issues, or process challenges and communicate observations to the Marketing Manager
  • Track and report results for assigned lead activities, including response timeliness, contact and qualification status, routing accuracy, data completeness, and recurring lead themes, using measures established by the Marketing Manager.
Competencies & Qualifications
Required:
  • Minimum of 6 months-2 years of experience in a customer service, sales support, marketing support, inside sales, or related role
  • Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Strong computer skills (ability to learn CRM, Microsoft Office tools)
  • Strong verbal communication skills and a high level of comfort speaking with prospective customers by phone throughout the workday
  • Friendly, professional, and customer-focused communication style
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate data entry
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to independently manage follow-up activities and deadlines
Preferred:
  • Coursework, certificate, associate or bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business, or related field
  • Previous experience communicating with customers by phone
  • Experience using a CRM or other customer data management system
  • Knowledge of building materials and/or the construction industry
  • Ability to work both remotely and in a corporate office environment.
  • Must be able to adapt to a changing and fast paced business conditions.
  • Occasional travel to customers and tradeshows.
