Job summary

HMCTS is seeking a Lead Analytics Engineer to guide the Data Management and Engineering team responsible for governing, storing, and providing reliable data to support justice outcomes. The role will drive data models, ETL and analytics to empower senior leaders across the organisation.

Based at a national level with occasional travel to London, the post offers flexible working and a commitment to modernising data capabilities as part of the Data Strategy.

Qualifications

• Experience leading data engineering or technical teams delivering BAU data, reporting and analytics.
• Strong design and management of data models, ETL, and data integration solutions.
• Advanced SQL and relational database skills (Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL Server, T-SQL).
• Experience delivering automated data, reporting and analytics solutions to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of data engineers to deliver data, reporting and analytics outputs.
• Collaborate with analysts and data scientists to develop, automate data processes.
• Oversee data quality assurance and governance processes.
• Communicate delivery plans, timelines and progress to stakeholders.
