Job summary

Booksy is seeking a Lead Analytics Engineer (Looker) to be the primary architect of our data’s source of truth. You will lead a team of Analytics Engineers transforming raw data into actionable insights through a sophisticated Looker semantic layer.

This hybrid role links Data Engineering, Data Analysts, and GTM teams to ensure scalable, automated, and governed data models. You will empower self-service analytics and drive performance while upholding coding standards.

Qualifications

• Expert-level Looker skills including semantic modeling and administration.
• Strong SQL skills with advanced window functions and data optimisation.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery) and dbt.
• Proficient in Git workflows, CI/CD, and data modelling (Kimball, Data Vault).
• Ability to write Python to automate workflows and interact with APIs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the AE team to drive a high-performance culture and career growth.
• Own design and maintenance of Looker semantic models (LookML) across the org.
• Establish CI/CD pipelines and robust version control for the semantic layer.
• Partner with Data Eng and business teams to align data models with analytics needs.
• Automate manual workflows with Python scripts and Looker API integrations.
