Best Version Media is expanding a data-driven culture across 1,300+ communities. We seek a Lead Analytics Engineer to own the entire data value chain, transforming raw signals into a living data system and a single source of truth for the business.

You will build data ingestion, modeling, and orchestration foundations, then partner with Product, Operations, and execs to answer critical questions and shape strategic roadmaps.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in analytics engineering or data engineering with end-to-end ownership.
• Expert SQL & Data Modeling: dimensional design, grain discipline, query tuning.
• Hands-on with BigQuery/Snowflake/Redshift, dbt, Python, and orchestrators (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect).
• Analytics & tooling: GA4, GTM, Google Ads, Meta Ads, Looker Studio.
• Strong ability to translate complex analysis into plain-language recommendations for leaders.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated pipelines bringing web, ad, SEO, lead, and CRM data into BigQuery.
• Create clean dimensional models, dbt transformations, and data quality tests.
• Manage pipeline orchestration, API integrations, backfills, and data freshness alerts.
• Resolve cross-product entity connections across advertiser, publisher, and community data.
• Build Looker Studio dashboards and govern company-wide KPI definitions.
• Analyze product performance, retention, and user drop-off to inform leadership decisions.
