Job summary

Secretariat is seeking a data analytics professional to join its disputes practice in Chicago. You will apply your analytical and quantitative skills to complex damages, accounting, economics, and technology matters requiring large, disparate datasets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a relevant field such as Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, MIS, Accounting, Finance or Economics.
• 4+ years applying analytics to disputes/advisory work with large data sets.
• Strong relational database knowledge and ability to link disparate data sources.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, R or similar languages for data manipulation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data collection and loading into analytics platforms; perform data quality checks.
• Organize and interpret data from banking, accounting, IT tickets, and other sources for experts.
• Quantify damages and exposure, trace funds across accounts, analyze historical data.
• Prepare expert and rebuttal reports detailing methods and findings.
• Lead analytics workstreams and coordinate with accounting, valuation, and technical teams.
• Communicate findings with clients and counsel; support hearings and trials.
• Manage day-to-day requirements of multiple engagements.
