Job summary

The Vertex Companies LLC is seeking Associates and Senior Associates to join our Data-Driven Disputes and Analytics practice in the United States. You will support complex litigation, investigations, and advisory engagements by analyzing large datasets and developing defensible conclusions.

Healthcare data experience is valued but not required. You will work with attorneys, expert witnesses, and clients to communicate findings, prepare reports, and deliver client-ready analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance, business, statistics, economics or related subject.
• 1–4 years of experience providing litigation support services (highly preferred).
• Experience with SQL, Python, R, Stata or SAS preferred; familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and BI/datas visualization tools a plus.
• Strong quantitative, research, problem-solving, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, client-service environment.
• Candidates must submit verification of their legal right to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Analyze accounting records, operational data, and other business information.
• Assist in matters involving healthcare reimbursement, claims payment, contract disputes, FCA investigations, class actions, coverage disputes, and regulatory reviews.
• Develop quantitative models to assess financial impact of alleged conduct; create summaries, visuals, and analyses; transform and analyze large datasets.
• Help prepare expert reports, trial demonstratives, presentations, and client deliverables.
• Support client interviews, fraud investigations, compliance reviews, discovery efforts, internal controls assessments, and risk mitigation work.
• Collaborate with professionals across finance, accounting, economics, technology, data management, and legal disciplines.
