Umicore in Pasadena, TX is seeking an Analytical Laboratory Sr. Technician / Sr. Supervisor to conduct lab experiments, prepare catalysts and substrates, and maintain meticulous records. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to procedures, and strong teamwork within a safety‑driven environment.

The position focuses on hands‑on lab work, process control, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams to ensure quality results and compliant lab practices in a materials science setting.

Qualifications

• Education requirements as listed: associate degree or equivalent with relevant lab experience.
• Proven hands-on experience in chemical, materials, catalyst, or industrial lab.
• Ability to follow written procedures and perform basic lab calculations.

Responsabilités

• Conduct lab experiments per approved procedures and test plans.
• Prepare chemical solutions, catalyst slurries, coated substrates, and catalyst samples.
• Perform weighing, mixing, dispersion, wash coating, impregnation, drying, and calcination.
• Monitor experiments, identify anomalies, and support troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate, traceable records of samples, conditions, observations, and results.
• Follow all safety, chemical‑handling, waste‑disposal, and equipment procedures.
• Keep the lab clean, organized, and safe.
• Collaborate effectively with technical and cross‑functional teams
• And any other duties that must be performed in the workplace.
