Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacology or a related field.
• Experience managing a fast-paced, high-throughput laboratory with strict turnaround times.
• 5+ years operating LC-MS or LC-MS/MS instrumentation with troubleshooting ability.
• Experience with LC-MS method development/validation in regulatory/diagnostic labs.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with multi-tasking ability.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with ISO or regulatory frameworks in analytical testing.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and direct daily activities of drug testing lab personnel to meet production goals.
• As group leader, assign and coordinate test technologies including screening and confirmation analyses.
• Direct research projects for analysis of small and large molecules in biological matrices.
• Lead method development to enhance drug testing capabilities using LC-MS/GC-MS; update SOPs.
• Coordinate confirmation analyses including B samples to verify work of other labs.
